Nurturing Preschool Growth Through Partnership and Play

At Bright Minds Academy, our Preschool teachers and staff are dedicated to fostering open communication with families about their child’s academic and developmental progress. Parents receive detailed progress reports twice during the school year, highlighting their preschooler’s social and emotional development, as well as advancements in mathematics, phonics, language, and speech. Each day at Bright Minds Academy is thoughtfully designed to provide fun, engaging, and age-appropriate learning experiences that spark curiosity and promote a love of learning in your preschooler!

The early learning curriculum in the preschool age groups focuses on:

Mathematics

In our early learners program, children develop foundational math skills by associating objects with numbers before progressing to recognizing numbers and rote counting. This approach helps build a strong base for future mathematical learning. As students advance, they are introduced to sight-based number recognition and counting, which opens the door to basic addition and subtraction for those ready to progress further.

Language and Speech Skills

Our preschool learning environment is designed to support proper speech development. Teachers work closely with students to help them improve speech patterns and address any developmental delays. Through guided verbal prompts and daily practice, children reinforce their speech skills throughout the day.

Spanish Learning and Cultural Studies

At Bright Minds Academy, we integrate Spanish language learning into our weekly thematic activities. Preschool students are introduced to simple Spanish phrases and vocabulary, using these new language skills as part of their daily routine, enriching their cultural understanding and communication abilities.

Phonetic Knowledge

Our literacy curriculum provides preschool students with the phonetic knowledge and skills necessary for early reading success. Through engaging lessons, students learn letter recognition and sounds, setting them on the path to becoming confident readers as they progress through their preschool journey.

Progress Reporting and Communication

At Bright Minds Academy, we prioritize open communication with families regarding students’ academic progress. Our team provides detailed progress reports three times a year, covering social and emotional development, mathematics, language, vocabulary, and literacy. These reports give families insight into their child’s academic journey and progress.
